Invocation of the wild

I love the sound of summer. I love the smell of little burned pieces of sand traveling through my toes and sliding down my golden skin.
I love the first moment of arrival at the beach and that welcoming call of the wind, my beloved dance partner who pulls on my dress, wanting to unwind it and set my body in endless motion and extasy. I love the invitation of the waves, whispering spells like wild sirens who have lost their minds in joy and silly games.
In this one moment I forget that I am human and melt into a mermaid made of blues and greens and dreamy purples. I let my body sink into the water, embracing worlds of sea sounds and divine magicians. I no longer feel the pain of living, I become eternal. And in my eternity I find my love.
I belong to her, the goddess of the in between worlds.
And then I let myself be stolen and taken away and bewitched. And with eyes full of water and sea devils I learn all those secrets that only sea witches know. And then when I wake up again on my red shore I am ready to go back and tell.
Intoxicated and invocated.
