Fear is the darkest place in our world. It is our own hell on earth. When we are in fear all we see is darkness. We feel frozen and unable to take care of ourselves. We pull out our imaginary guns and start shooting in order to preserve our safety. What we don’t realize is that we shoot at people, living creatures that surround us and if we had some light we could see how much pain we cause.
When we talk in a place of fear we shoot with words. We try to bring ourselves in a place of safety. But the truth is that we only hurt people around us, again, with our imaginary bombs and guns.
Isn’t that how wars are created? All I can see is people put in fear shooting at each other, unable to see in the darkness.
We can recognize this mechanism and break from it.
We can face our fears, this means feel them, let them tell us why they are there. Fear has a reason to be with us. It is a memory of a long forgotten past event in our lives when we were hurt and experienced pain.
Every fear we experience in our adult life is an invitation to integrate what we once lost- our connection and belonging. It is a call from our soul, to embrace the feeling of helplessness and practice compassion and forgiveness.
In a feeling of compassion and forgiveness no one has any interest in shooting or starting wars. In this place we look for connection and belonging. Then this is what we lost in our experience of being hurt in the past.
Our lives are designed to give us the opportunity to find love out of places of fear and disconnection. We are hear to become what we already are- love. We are here to remember and enlighten the dark places so love can stay.
Compassion to ourselves is the first most important step to our world peace. Be with our feelings unconditionally .
When fear is lifted and light arrives, we finally see that we all lived in darkness and we all longed for love.
